Golden Milk: Nature’s Miracle

Golden Milk: Nature's MiracleGolden Milk, nature’s way of helping us ladies. I’m a pretty plus size girl who worries about her health and weight a lot. I think its very important that as big girls we look after our bodies. It may be difficult to lose weight but even when you’re a big girl, it’s important that you look after your body. I read a blog called Cosy in Cashmere and a blog post I found in particular to be very interesting was titled, “My New Obsession: Golden Milk”.

“So I discovered this milky and spicy drink that calms me down and bares lots of health benefits, I flipped all the way to the moon. Some would call it “nature’s miracle” but it’s commonly known as Golden/Turmeric Milk”.

Nature’s Golden Miracle

I read online that Golden Milk can improve your heart and skin health. Heart problems are commonly found in us big girls so I think it would help a lot that you at least have a cup of this twice a week and an extra bonus is that you will have radiant skin. It also relieves cold and cough symptoms, fights digestive disorders, strength bones and might alleviate pain. I think to all the mommies out there it’s not a bad idea to give your children a cup of Golden Milk to relieve them from the colds and cough like symptoms.

“It’s an anti-inflammatory and has anti-oxidant properties, I used to drink a bit of liquor so it really heaped clean out my liver, it also helps clear out your skin”.

How to make Golden Milk

So it’s a good way to also detox after a night of drinking. The recipe to making the Golden Milk is quite simple. Golden Milk recipe:

  • ½ tsp. of Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp. of Tumeric Paste
  • 1 Cup of Milk
  • 1 – 3 tsp. of Honey/Maple Syrup (depended on your taste)

Add black pepper, paste and milk together onto a pot on the stove for 5 minutes. Take off then add maple syrup/honey for taste. Sprinkle a little Cinnamon if you’d love that too.
